Privacy policy

The short version: there are no accounts here, no cookies and no tracking or advertising scripts. We collect an email address only if you sign up for the weekly email.
Visiting the site
The site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes the standard information every web request carries, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. We see only totals from this, such as visits per page and per country. We do not see or keep records of individual visitors, and we set no cookies.
The weekly email
We collect your email address only when you sign up for the weekly email, and for nothing else. Kit (kit.com) processes it on our behalf to send you that email, and sends a message first asking you to confirm. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell your address or share it with anyone else. Kit's own privacy policy covers how it handles data.
Reporting a problem
The report form opens your own email app with a message already written. Nothing is sent unless you send it. If you do, we receive your email address and your message, use them only to reply and fix the problem, and delete them on request.
Links to stores
Buy links take you to the retailer's own site, where its privacy policy applies. Some links may be affiliate links, which means the retailer may record that you arrived from this site. How the site is funded is explained on the About page.
Our Instagram and Pinterest accounts
We use the Instagram and Pinterest APIs only to publish our own posts and Pins to our own accounts, and to read those accounts' basic profile and board details. We do not collect, store or share information about other people who use those services. Their own privacy policies cover what you do there.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13.
